Job summary

IBM is seeking a campus intern in New York to contribute to real client projects and build a compelling portfolio. You’ll work with seasoned IBMers, learn through mentoring, and gain exposure to diverse industries while developing technical and consulting skills.

During May–July 2027, you’ll engage in hands-on experiences across market research, operational improvements, workshops, and data analytics, with a path into IBM’s Associate program based on performance.

Your Role And Responsibilities

Work experiences you could be exposed to:

• Market Dynamics: Immersing yourself in primary research and collaborate with dynamic teams assisting clients in navigating market trends andrefining competitive strategies.
• Operational Excellence: Support operational improvement by designing models for a seamless client experience, contributing to heightenedefficiency and effectiveness in operational processes.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Support workshops, meetings, and interviews to understand and document requirements collaborating with diverseteams to capture and synthesizing essential information.
• Project Exposure: Gain hands on experience shadowing product teams and enterprise-wide data integrations. Contribute to data analyticsassessments and actively participate in cloud migration and system implementations across major platforms.

The primary internship program dates are May to July 2027 (10 weeks).

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Currently pursuing a university degree with a track-record of academic success(Preferred majors: Business, Computer Science, MIS/IT, Computer Engineering, Data Science, SW Engineering,or related fields).
• Strong interpersonal skills that enhance collaboration and relationship building, while also managing dynamic workloads in an agile environment
• Have initiative and passion to actively seek new knowledge and improve skills while embracing a growth mindset to assimilate diverse viewpoints
• Demonstrate leadership experience and ability to communicate effectively through active listening; while also be willing to adapt and have a readiness to take ownership of tasks and challenges
• Interest in one or more of the following types of consulting: strategy, application, business transformation, or experience.
• Willingness to travel as needed

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Preferred Certifications: AWS Foundational (Cloud orAIPractitioner); Associate, Professional, or Specialty (Aspirational) —in-progress certifications are fine
• Other: operational & consulting mindset (translate technical work to business impact); Communication (ability to clearly communicate technical concepts - verbal and written); Professional readiness (comfort in client-facing environments); Passionate about use of AI technology for business advancement; and enjoys experiential learning.
