Job description

Overview

The Consultant role is a mid‑level consulting position focused on leading and executing client engagement work streams, including qualitative and quantitative research, statistical and financial analysis, modeling, quality control, and the development of client deliverables. This position is based in one of our BRG offices (Boston, Chicago, DC, New York, Nashville, or Tampa), working with colleagues in the office three to four days a week on average.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage various aspects of small to medium‑sized client engagements and discrete segments of larger projects.
• Develop and maintain electronic databases, spreadsheets, and other files as dictated by project needs.
• Perform and lead detailed research and analysis, gathering, reviewing, and summarizing literature and data from public domain and specialized industry resources.
• Demonstrate creativity and efficient use of relevant software tools, analytical methods, and computer models to develop solutions.
• Lead and develop analyses and financial models using transactional data and/or financial data.
• Provide valuable contributions to client deliverables and expert reports.
• Delegate tasks and assignments to junior staff while prioritizing assignments and responsibilities to meet goals and deadlines.

Qualifications

• BS/BA with a focus in quantitative analytics (accounting, finance, economics, information systems, mathematics) or a related field.
• 3–5 years of prior work experience or educational background in data analytics.
• Prior experience in healthcare or litigation consulting is highly preferred.
• Strong technical skills in SQL or R at an advanced level; proficiency in additional programming languages (Python, STATA, SAS, etc.) is considered a plus.
• Prior experience providing mentorship and delegating project tasks to junior team members.
• Commitment to producing high‑quality analysis and attention to detail.
• Keen interest in economic or financial analysis and research.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Desire to work in a team environment.
• Candidate must be able to submit verification of legal right to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Salary

Consultant Salary Range: $110,000 – $145,000 per year, determined based on qualifications and experience.
