Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking an accounting professional to support GAAP financial statements, attest services and client-facing projects in a professional services environment. You will analyze accounting issues, propose improvements, and contribute to recruiting efforts while maintaining high ethical standards.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, public speaking and client-service skills, with proficiency in the Microsoft Suite and GAAP/GAAS knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• Master's Degree or advanced degree preferred.
• CPA eligible preferred.
• Experience in providing attest services in a professional services firm is preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards.
• Strong communication, public speaking, client service and relationship-building.

Responsibilities

• Process client data for GAAP financial statements, AUP, and special projects.
• Identify accounting and reporting issues per GAAP/GAAS standards.
• Recommend business and process improvements from client operations.
• Build relationships and communicate effectively with clients.
• Participate in training sessions and networking events.
• Assist recruiting activities including campus recruiting and referrals.
• Demonstrate teamwork, a positive attitude and high ethics.
• Assist in compiling the Schedule of Federal Expenditures.
• Travel may be required; travel is limited.

Job Description: Responsibilities

• Process client data for inclusion in GAAP financial statements, agreed upon procedures, and special projects.
• Identify accounting, financial statement, and reporting issues, based on professional guidelines including U.S. GAAP
• Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based upon knowledge gained relative to the client's operations, processes, and business objectives.
• Proactively build relationships and communicate effectively with the client to provide superior client service.
• Invest in professional development through active participation in training sessions and networking events both internally and externally.
• Assist with recruiting activities to include campus recruiting along with referring experienced individuals to the firm and participating in the firm's Employee Referral Bonus Program.
• Demonstrate excellent team skills, positive attitude and high ethical standards.
• Assist on compilation of Schedule of Federal Expenditures for clients.
• Travel is limited but may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• Master's Degree or other advanced degrees desired.
• CPA eligible preferred.
• Experience in providing attest services in a professional services firm is preferred.
• Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), and Public Company Oversight Board (PCAOB) Auditing Standards.
• Demonstrated skills in the areas of communication, public speaking, client service, relationship building, personal development, collaboration, and problem solving along with initiative, adaptability and highly developed Microsoft Suite skills

The pay rate range for this job position is $62,000 to $90,840. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location.
