Job summary

Ciena Corporation seeks a seasoned Consultant, Forensic Accountant / Financial Analytics, to lead forecasting, cost allocation, and data-driven decision support across Global Customer Operations. You will build predictive models and dashboards to drive proactive financial insights.

The role requires deep analytical skills, strong collaboration with Finance, PMO and Ops, and the ability to operate in a global, distributed environment with NA business hours.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in financial analysis, forensic accounting, or planning.
  • Strong forecasting, modeling, and cost analysis skills.
  • Advanced Excel, Power BI, Alteryx; data modeling and predictive analytics.
  • SQL, Python, JavaScript; Power Automate and Power Apps capabilities.
  • Self-starter with ability to meet aggressive deadlines and communicate clearly.
  • Customer-centric mindset and ability to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Perform forensic analysis of financial data to identify anomalies, cost drivers and risks.
  • Develop and maintain forecasting models for revenue, cost, and margin performance.
  • Provide forward-looking insight to anticipate financial impact of decisions.
  • Design and improve cost allocation methodologies across programs and regions.
  • Partner with Finance, PMO, and Operations to validate data and drive decisions.
  • Build dashboards and visualizations (Power BI) to communicate insights.

Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
