BRG is currently seeking a Consultant or Managing Consultant to support and oversee engagement workstreams across a range of complex regulatory compliance, risk management, and client advisory projects within the capital markets sector. This is an opportunity to help build a new practice within an established consulting firm. We are looking for professionals who are eager to build on their experience working in the financial services industry and who enjoy using their analytical ability and strong organizational skills to solve complex problems, working directly with clients, and helping to build a growing business.

Responsibilities

  • Consultant / Managing Consultant Work directly with senior professionals to execute financial institution advisory projects related to regulatory compliance and risk management. Functional areas of work include supervision, governance, technology and operations enablement, and business process optimization. Contribute to the development and implementation of frameworks and methodologies for compliance, supervisory, operational, and regulatory risk management programs. Assess client policies, procedures, and controls against leading practices and industry frameworks. Identify gaps in design and execution, and present actionable recommendations. Plan and execute assigned project tasks and support project administration and day-to-day client communications. Prioritize assignments and responsibilities to meet engagement goals and deadlines. Apply creative problem-solving and relevant software tools, analytical methods, and computer models to develop client solutions efficiently. Responsibilities include project administration, contracting, budget management, and day-to-day client relationships. Manage project work by delegating assignments, guiding staff, monitoring progress, and prioritizing work to meet goals and deadlines. Prepare and review deliverables for completeness and accuracy, oversee contributions to expert reports, and present findings and recommendations to client management. Lead assigned business development activities, including proposal preparation and prospective-client presentations, and take an active role in staff training and recruiting.
