Job summary

ERM in Manhattan, NY, seeks a Consultant, Engineering to contribute to civil/environmental design across energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors. You will work on site plans, erosion control, stormwater management, and permit applications while traveling to client locations.

Ideal candidates hold a civil/environmental engineering degree, 2–3 years of experience, and strong MS Office skills; EIT/FE is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil, Environmental, Geotechnical, or related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–3 years of engineering experience.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite and ability to prepare technical memorandums and reports.
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication skills and ability to collaborate.
  • Driver's license required due to travel to client locations.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a remote/hybrid environment with clear communication on schedules and priorities.
  • Assist in civil/environmental design and project support: site plans, erosion and sediment control, stormwater management, permit applications.
  • Participate in field work, sampling, construction monitoring, and reporting.
  • Manage multiple fast-paced projects across diverse geographies and ensure health and safety compliance.

Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range. This role may be eligible for bonus paysubject to the sole discretion of ERM and its policies and procedures (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible).
