Role Overview:
This role is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating consultant scopes, hours, and fees for proposed INDOT projects to ensure accountability and cost‑effective delivery of services. The position prepares and reviewsconsultantcontract terms, evaluates compensation structures, and ensures all agreements comply with INDOT contracting policies and guidance. It requires independently managing multipleconsultantcontracts at various development stages, resolving contracting questions, coordinating selection notices, and maintaining accurate funding documentation. The role also participates in process improvement efforts and works closely with internal and external stakeholders throughout the contracting process. A registered Professional Engineer (PE) license and at least four years of transportation design or plan development experience are required for this position.

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours which may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.
Individuals in this role should minimally be able to articulate or demonstrate the following:
