Job description

About Keystone

Keystone is a premier economics, technology, and strategy consulting firm built to help companies lead through transformation. As breakthrough innovations reshape industries, redefine competition, and change our society, complex and highly competitive ecosystems emerge. Keystone advises technology leaders, Fortune 100 companies, their legal counsel, and governments on business, economic, litigation, and regulatory strategy in relation to these innovations and competitive ecosystems. We operate globally from offices in New York, Boston, San Francisco, Seattle, London, Dubai, and Washington, D.C.

Consultant and AI Agent Manager – AI Strategy Role

Consultant and AI Agent Manager is a role that blends structured consulting judgment with hands‑on fluency in agentic AI systems, modern technology architecture, and rigorous analytical problem‑solving. It is designed for someone who can scope ambiguous business problems, develop testable hypotheses, conduct rigorous analysis, and translate findings into clear client‑ready recommendations, while also building, managing, and improving AI agents to accelerate workflows and create tangible client value.

This is not a traditional strategy consulting role with AI as a side topic. Success requires high comfort working directly with AI tools, managing human‑in‑the‑loop workflows, and partnering with technical and non‑technical stakeholders to prototype and operationalize AI‑enabled solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Drive AI‑Native Strategy Work

  • Structure ambiguous client problems into clear workplans, hypotheses, analyses, and recommendations.
  • Conduct independent research, market analysis, technology landscape assessments, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Synthesize complex findings into crisp narratives for client executives, technical teams, and internal leadership.
  • Help identify high‑impact AI use cases and translate them into pragmatic execution roadmaps.

Manage AI Agents as Part of the Delivery Team

  • Use agentic AI systems to complete and accelerate core consulting workflows, including research, synthesis, analysis, drafting, QA, and knowledge management.
  • Manage AI agents for quality, integration, human‑in‑the‑loop review, and optimal contribution to project outcomes.
  • Design repeatable AI‑enabled workflows that improve speed, rigor, and client value.
  • Evaluate outputs critically and maintain high standards for accuracy, judgment, and confidentiality.

Build, Prototype, and Implement

  • Work directly with AI tools rather than only advising from a distance.
  • Prototype solutions, prompts, workflows, and light technical approaches alongside clients and internal teams.
  • Partner with engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand feasibility, constraints, and implementation paths.
  • Bring a practical understanding of cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, LLM integration, and enterprise software ecosystems to client work.

Own Client‑Ready Deliverables

  • Prepare high‑quality analyses, memos, presentations, and executive communications.
  • Manage discrete workstreams with strong ownership, judgment, and attention to detail.
  • Contribute to client meetings and workshops with clear communication and structured thinking.
  • Operate effectively in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments where priorities evolve quickly.
Required
  • Experience in strategy consulting, business strategy, AI strategy, product strategy, technology strategy, or similarly rigorous analytical project work.
  • High level of comfort using AI tools and agentic workflows directly in professional work, including tasking agents, reviewing outputs, identifying gaps, and improving workflow quality.
  • Ability to evaluate AI‑assisted outputs for quality, accuracy, business relevance, and client readiness.
  • Proven ability to translate research, expert input, client context, and AI‑generated outputs into polished client‑facing materials.
  • Practical understanding of how business processes can be broken down, documented, and redesigned for AI‑enabled delivery.
  • Proven builder orientation: willingness to roll up sleeves, use tools directly, prototype workflows, and implement practical solutions with clients.
  • Working fluency in modern AI and enterprise technology architecture, including cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, enterprise software, and LLM integration.
  • Exceptional structured problem‑solving, analytical, and quantitative skills, including rigorous research, market analysis, and technology landscape assessment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Adaptability, resilience, and ownership in fast‑paced client‑service environments.
Preferred
  • Prior experience at a top‑tier consulting firm, AI‑native company, technology company, or high‑growth product environment.
  • Experience supporting AI transformation, workflow automation, knowledge management, or enterprise AI adoption initiatives.
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering, AI evaluation, RAG workflows, data governance, or responsible AI practices.
  • Experience working directly with senior clients or cross‑functional executive stakeholders.
  • Exposure to economics, litigation, regulatory, financial services, legal, or other complex analytical domains.
What Sets You Apart
  • Exceptional intellectual horsepower and structured judgment.
  • Bias toward building, testing, and improving rather than producing theoretical recommendations only.
  • High standards for quality, precision, and ownership.
  • Ability to move fluidly between strategy, technology, analysis, and client communication.
  • Intellectual curiosity about how AI changes business models, workflows, and competitive dynamics.
Why Join Us
  • Help build an AI‑native advisory capability inside a premier economics, technology, and strategy consulting firm.
  • Work on complex, high‑stakes client problems where AI can materially change outcomes.
  • Operate with exceptional colleagues across technology, economics, management science, and strategy.
  • Develop rapidly in a team that values ownership, rigor, and practical innovation.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $140,000–$190,000.

  • Annual discretionary bonus (performance based).
  • 401(k) contribution.
  • Competitive benefits package.
