Job summary

NFP is seeking a Consultant to act as the primary advisor for a portfolio of employee benefits clients in Atlanta, GA. You will focus on client happiness, retention, and growth, managing $500K–$5M in annual revenue.

You will work with Account Managers, Producers, and other team members to develop annual service plans, coordinate initiatives, and deliver proactive solutions that improve client outcomes.

Qualifications

Summary:

The Consultant acts as the primary advisor for a portfolio of employee benefits clients, responsible for client happiness, retention, and growth. This role manages a book of business ranging from $500K to $5M in annual revenue. It develops and puts into action benefits strategies that improve client outcomes and find chances for growth. As the main contact, the Managing Consultant builds strong client relationships, delivers proactive solutions, and guarantees outstanding service. The position works closely with Account Managers, Producers, and other team members to complete annual service plans, coordinate key initiatives, and support account success. Success requires strong consultative skills, financial foresight, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of industry trends and fresh employee benefits solutions.

Long-term Planning:

As a Consultant at NFP, you will manage accounts in your book of business, making strategic decisions to optimize benefits for clients. You'll develop and put into action innovative strategies to improve client benefits and happiness. Identifying and pursuing opportunities for client growth, you'll explore new benefit options and solutions, proactively seeking ways to make valuable contributions to their benefit plans.

Financial Management:

You will manage an account generating $500K to $5M in yearly revenue. Your role includes meeting financial goals and improving income by managing client relationships well. Strong financial skills are essential to reach these objectives.

Teamwork:

Collaboration is key at Aon Services Corporation. You will work closely with the Account Manager Team to complete core work annually and ensure all deliverables are met. Coordinating and leading all aspects of the completion of key projects and initiatives throughout the year will be part of your role. You'll also collaborate closely with the Managing Consultant and Producer to ensure the success of each account, aligning strategies and goals for seamless service delivery.

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:

• Strong understanding of benefits administration, industry trends, and carrier products and services.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and anticipate client needs.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Passion for developing and building strength and capabilities in a team.

Education and/or Experience:

• 6+ years of experience in employee benefits or a related field.
• Preferably a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

The base salary range for this position is $73,300 – $117,300. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
