Job summary

Berks Technical Institute, part of Ancora Education, seeks a Program Director to oversee program administration, teaching, advising, and outcomes. Responsibilities include faculty development, scheduling, and ensuring accreditation compliance across the program.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of industry experience in trades, 1 year of management, and a strong understanding of adult learning principles, with strong communication skills and travel to extern sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 5 years industry experience in trades or construction-related fields
• Possess current, valid licensure where appropriate
• Meets state and accreditor requirements to qualify as an instructor
• 1 year of management experience
• Understanding of adult learning principles
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a conducive learning environment for students and faculty
• Identify, hire and train qualified faculty
• Monitor and promote integration of Ancora Education Learning Philosophy and Core Classroom Principles
• Lead faculty development efforts with orientation, training and professional development
• Provide timely faculty mentoring, observations, coaching and feedback
• Maintain course schedules and assign faculty workloads
• Ensure equipment, training aids, and materials support the curriculum
• Ensure ongoing compliance with accreditation standards
• Coordinate extern/clinical sites and externship programs
• Advise students on academic performance and progression
• Evaluate program outcomes and implement improvement strategies
• Maintain curriculum in line with standards
• Other duties as assigned
