Segra is searching for a dynamic and experienced Construction Technician to work within our Charlottesville, VA market.

The Construction Technician will oversee construction activities at the worksite, primarily supervising construction contractors in the field. The role involves planning, implementing, and overseeing construction efforts across multiple sites within the designated market.

The Construction Technician will report on field progress to the Construction Manager and/or Project Manager to ensure projects are completed within the scheduled timeline. The technician will be responsible for maintaining quality standards and ensuring best practices throughout the construction cycle.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of fiber, telecommunications, ROW, or relevant construction experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to effectively lead a crew to meet schedule, customer requirements, and budget guidelines.
• Excellent understanding of construction and permitting prints.
• Assist in monitoring and reporting inventory/material usage during construction.
• Assist with troubleshooting construction problems and providing safe, timely solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good planning and organization skills to prioritize work.
• Willingness to travel, including overnight and daily.
• Basic experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
