Mobile Modular Management Corporation is seeking a Construction Technician to perform general maintenance, remodeling, and prep of modular buildings for delivery to customer sites. You will use hand and power tools, handle carpentry, plumbing, painting, and light electrical tasks to meet project specs.

The job emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork in a lean environment with Monday–Friday hours, outdoors in varied weather, and opportunities to contribute to quality modular builds.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in construction or related work is required.
• Able to work outside in variable weather conditions.
• Able to use both manual and power tools and follow operating guidelines.
• Able to use mathematics to calculate length, width, depth, etc. as it relates to construction and accuracy of specs.
• Must follow spoken and written instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Must safely perform all tasks and follow safety policies and procedures.
• Deliver high-quality output consistent with company standards.
• Able to measure and cut materials to specified dimensions.
• Position requires manual dexterity and ability to stay physically active most of the day.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and use ladders and manual labor tasks.

Responsabilités

• Installation of structures or fixtures using hand or power tools per plan and current code.
• Perform maintenance, repairs and construction in plumbing, carpentry, painting, flooring, electrical and related areas.
• Construct or remodel modular buildings as part of project work.
• Demolish, replace or construct walls including framing and drywall.
• Light electrical work: bulbs, wiring, switches and outlets.
• Light plumbing work: install or remodel plumbing pipes and fixtures.
• General cleaning, scrubbing, and mopping of units.
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements from plans.
• Participate in 6S and Lean initiatives in the workplace.
• Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

“A Day in the Life”

As a Construction Technician, you will be responsible for general maintenance, cleaning, general construction, remodeling work and preparation of buildings for delivery to customer sites.

“What You’ll Do”

• Installation of structures or fixtures such as windows, doors, frames, floorings, trim or hardware using hand or power tools per plan, drawings and to current relevant building code
• Perform maintenance service, repairs and construction in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, flooring, ceiling and electrical and other specialties
• Perform construction work related to remodeling or modifying modular buildings
• Demolish, replace or construct walls, including framing, drywall and other finish-out functions
• Light electrical work; changing bulbs, rewiring or adjusting wiring within a frame or wiring for new connections, switches and outlets
• Light plumbing work; removing, remodeling or installing new plumbing pipes and fixtures
• General cleaning, scrubbing, and mopping of units
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements as noted on building plans or reasonably implied
• Participate in and practice 6S and Lean company initiative in the workplace
• Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Ability to use mathematics to calculate length, width, depth, etc. as it relates to construction and accuracy of specs and requirements
• Ability to follow spoken and written instruction and work in fast paced construction environment with minimal guidance from leads or supervisors
• Ability to safely perform all tasks and understand Company’s safety policies and procedures
• Deliver a high-quality output consistent with the Company’s construction standards
• Able to take, record and follow standard measurements and cut or separate materials to specific measurements or quantities
• Position requires manual dexterity and the ability to maintain physical activity for most of the day
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and hold or lift a variety of objects
• Able to carry, bend, stoop, turn, kneel, crawl, climb a ladder and other manual labor activities

“Nice to Haves”

• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or other specialties a plus
• Industrial warehouse experience with construction‑grade materials and equipment, preferred

Physical Requirements & Role Expectations

• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments and tolerate varying weather, temperatures, and job site conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, and reach throughout the workday.
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, pull, and move materials, tools, equipment, and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and safely navigate modular buildings, storage/office containers, inventory yards, storage areas, and work sites.
• Ability to perform physical activities for extended periods, including walking, inspecting equipment, reviewing inventory assets, and performing hands-on tasks.
• Sufficient manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to safely and effectively operate tools, equipment, computers, tablets, and mobile devices.
• Ability to visually inspect modular buildings, inventory assets, labels, equipment, and documentation to identify discrepancies, damage, or quality concerns.
