Job summary

Jaxon Engineering and Maintenance in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Construction Technician to support material handling, fabrication, and assembly on active projects. The role is full-time in Colorado Springs, with travel as needed and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Compensation is $18.00-$22.00 per hour, with significant OT and per diems while traveling, plus a strong benefits package including life insurance, medical, dental, vision, PTO, holidays, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Must be able to use basic hand and power tools safely.
• Willlingness to learn welding, fabrication, electrical basics, and operator duties.
• Able to bend over, kneel, and crouch for long periods.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs regularly.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to pass background checks, certifications, or compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist welders, fabricators, and electricians with material handling and preparation.
• Perform basic tasks including cutting, grinding, drilling, and cleaning/prepping materials.
• Help with assembly and installation of finished products.
• Assist with machine operations and equipment surveillance.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.

Salary:

Travel Requirement:

While this role is primarily a position located in Colorado Springs, a Construction Technician should be prepared to travel as needed. Travel expenses are paid by the company.

Security Clearance Requirement:

This role requires the ability and willingness to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance.
