Job summary

Duininck Golf is seeking a full-time technologist to supervise the integration and use of construction technology across projects. You will work with project managers and contractors to implement digital workflows, process field data, create surfaces, and generate as-builts, optimizing field-to-office data exchange.

You will leverage Trimble and AutoCAD tools, assess technology needs, and provide training while traveling as required to support projects and drive productivity.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Able to work with various office technology, hardware, and software.
• Proven experience in the construction industry with a strong understanding of construction processes.
• Understanding of coordinate systems and datums.
• Surveying fundamentals and knowledge of Trimble line of surveying equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the integration and utilization of technology in construction projects.
• Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to implement and optimize technological solutions.
• Process survey data collected in the field.
• Convert design files to clean and usable linework files for GPS in the field.
• Create and export surfaces.
• Organize and manage changes to designs and files.
• Process scan data and prepare data for export back to the field.
• Create exhibits of processed scan data.
• Perform earthwork takeoffs from design files and field survey data.
• Create cut/fill maps and as-built documentation.
• Develop As-Builds and analyze GPS technology data.
• Collaborate with cross-company Engineering support and the overall Engineering team.
• Assess technology needs with project teams and develop implementation strategies.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend construction technology solutions to improve productivity.
• Provide training and support to project teams on construction technology tools.
• Monitor performance of technology solutions and adjust for optimal results.
• Stay updated on trends in construction technology and apply them to projects.
• Regularly stand, sit, and move; lift objects up to 50 lbs; travel as required.
