Job summary

Superior is seeking a Tax Manager to lead the sales and use tax function for data center construction projects, focused on Ohio and surrounding Midwest states. This role will manage tax treatment through project lifecycles from setup to billing and audit readiness, based at our Columbus, Ohio headquarters.

Qualifications include 5+ years in SALT, a degree in accounting/finance or taxation, strong Excel and analytical skills, and CPA/EA or similar credential preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax experience with a focus on sales and use tax (SALT).
• Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance or Master's in Taxation required.
• Strong Excel, analytical, research and documentation skills.
• Experience with sales and use tax in construction projects.
• CPA/EA/CMI or equivalent credential preferred.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead sales and use tax compliance and filing for data center projects.
• Provide guidance on tax treatment for real property, fixtures, services, and contractor-use items.
• Perform sales and use tax analysis to support project planning and execution.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Project Finance, Operations, and leadership to ensure accurate tax treatment.
• Maintain organized tax workpapers, documentation, and files for audit readiness.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and guidance impacting company positions.
• Drive process improvements to strengthen tax accuracy and reporting.
