Job summary

McMurria Grading, LLC. is seeking an experienced Construction Surveyor to join our team on active site projects in Greenville, SC. You will perform high-accuracy site surveys, layout foundations, and verify plans align with field conditions using Trimble S7 and Topcon GPS equipment.

You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure precise survey data, maintain safety standards, and contribute to on-time project completion on high-profile construction sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a construction or land surveyor.
• Proficiency with surveying equipment (Trimble S7, Topcon GPS equipment, etc).
• Strong understanding of construction methods, plans, and site layout techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail & ability to maintain precision and accuracy in all survey work
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and on active construction sites.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys using a variety of instruments.
• Perform high-accuracy layout, including as-built and topographic surveys
• Interpret and analyze architectural and engineering plans to determine dimensions and site layout requirements.
• Operate Trimble S7 Total Stations, TSC7 Controllers with Trimble Access Software, and Topcon GPS equipment.
• Provide precise measurements for foundations, structures, and utilities.
• Monitor and record site progress, verifying that construction work aligns with design plans.
• Assist in resolving design discrepancies and construction challenges related to land measurements.
• Maintain and calibrate survey instruments and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and engineers to ensure accurate implementation of survey data.
• Travel between job sites as required.
