Salary

Site-based construction supervisor responsible for field execution, subcontractor coordination, and delivery of heavy construction for water and wastewater treatment plant projects. Role is embedded at active municipal and industrial job sites with ownership of civil construction activities, site logistics, and alignment with overall project schedule and quality requirements.

Core Responsibilities

• Serve as primary field supervisor for heavy civil scopes including earthwork, excavation, structural concrete, underground utilities, and site development within treatment plant construction
• Direct and coordinate subcontractors performing mass grading, shoring, dewatering, piping installation, concrete placement, and structural work for tanks, basins, and process structures
• Oversee installation of underground utilities including water, sewer, storm drainage, process piping, and duct banks in accordance with plans and specifications
• Manage daily field operations to ensure adherence to schedule milestones, sequencing, and constructability across multiple work fronts
• Read and interpret civil drawings, structural plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports to drive accurate field execution
• Coordinate with project management, engineering, and commissioning teams to ensure civil readiness for mechanical and process system installation
• Monitor site conditions, excavation safety, trenching, and shoring activities to ensure compliance with OSHA and project safety requirements
• Track production quantities, installed work, and subcontractor performance against schedule and budget targets
• Lead site logistics planning including laydown areas, material staging, access roads, and equipment utilization
• Conduct field inspections to verify quality of concrete, rebar placement, formwork, compaction, and utility installation
• Manage RFIs, field changes, and coordination issues impacting civil scopes and overall project delivery
• Maintain detailed daily reports documenting manpower, equipment, production, and site conditions

Required Experience

• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card)
• Minimum 5+ years of field supervision experience in heavy civil construction with direct involvement in water or wastewater treatment plant projects
• Strong background in structural concrete (cast-in-place), excavation, grading, and underground utility installation
• Experience building treatment plant structures such as clarifiers, aeration basins, digesters, pump stations, and large-diameter piping systems
• Working knowledge of ACI standards, OSHA regulations, and civil construction best practices
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and self-perform crews in a schedule-driven environment
• Ability to read and interpret civil and structural drawings, specifications, and survey/layout data
• Experience coordinating with survey crews, inspectors, and quality control personnel
• Strong understanding of site safety, trenching/excavation standards, and heavy equipment operations
• Clear, direct communication with project teams, subcontractors, and inspectors
• Track record of delivering civil scopes on time with high quality and safety compliance
