Job summary

The Pacific Companies is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent for our Rancho Mirage, CA project. You will lead field operations, manage trade contractors, and ensure safety, schedule and budget adherence to deliver quality affordable housing.

You will oversee constructability reviews, site logistics, and weekly look-ahead plans, coordinating with engineers, inspectors, and clients to resolve issues and keep the project on track.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience working in a Superintendent role.
  • Experience in Multi-Family Unit Construction.
  • Vertical Concrete Apprenticeship or related trades experience is helpful or preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction industry and company operations, materials, plans and procedures.
  • Proven competency to lead the safety program on the job-site.
  • Experience leading large subcontractor teams as a Superintendent.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience leading and assessing trade performance on site.
  • Knowledge of inspections (all required and special).
  • Ability to resolve field issues and elevate for resolution.
  • Experience with creating and monitoring a project schedule’s critical path.
  • Ability to schedule, monitor and forecast resources for efficiency.

  • Advise project manager of potential problems impacting budget, schedule, quality and safety.
  • Maintain project tactics, schedule, 3-week look ahead, and daily job reports.

  • Experience leading and assessing trade performance on the job site
  • In-depth knowledge of all required and special inspections.
  • Ability to resolve issues at the field level and elevate to the proper authority for resolution.
  • Experience with creating and monitoring a project schedule's critical path
  • Ability to schedule, monitor and forecast resources for optimum efficiency
