Job summary

ARCO Design/Build, located in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, is seeking a highly motivated Superintendent Intern. This internship provides hands-on experience in construction management, working alongside experts in the field on diverse projects.

Interns will assist with job scheduling, communication with subcontractors, and contribute to every stage of the project life cycle. Qualifications

• Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
• Co-op or intern construction experience preferred, but not required.
• Possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform critical tasks in various stages of project life cycle.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

We are looking for a highly motivated College Superintendent Intern, who is passionate about the construction process and wants to learn onsite. At ARCO, an Intern has the opportunity to assist Superintendents with the following:

• Work on jobsites and get hands-on experience from our expert field personnel on projects in a variety of industries including commercial, industrial, distribution, office, multi-family, entertainment and more
• Learn various skills from the Superintendent on the job including creating schedules, communicating with subcontractors, running a project smoothly from start to finish, and collaborating with the Superintendent on the jobsite
• You will make a meaningful contribution to ARCO’s success, performing critical tasks in every stage of the project life cycle

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

• Enrolled in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or other related degree programs
• Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 out of 4.0
• Co-op or Intern construction experience preferred, but not required
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic
• Possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in your state of residence
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to: standing or walking for long periods of time, occasionally on uneven terrain, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, and/or lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds
