Qualifications

  • 8–15+ years of construction experience with at least 3–5 years in a superintendent or senior superintendent role.
  • Experience with large-scale commercial, industrial, or multifamily projects.
  • OSHA 30 certification required; additional safety credentials preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, building systems, and industry codes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software Primavera P6 and MS Project and construction management platforms Procore, Autodesk Build.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce company and OSHA safety standards at all times.
  • Conduct site safety meetings, toolbox talks, and regular inspections.
  • Investigate and document incidents, implementing corrective measures where needed.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and ensure full compliance.
  • Ensure work meets contract specifications, drawings, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks.
  • Identify potential issues early and resolve them to prevent delays or cost overruns.
  • Monitor progress daily and update schedules accordingly.
  • Work with project managers to track milestones, manage changes, and mitigate schedule risks.
  • Review subcontractor productivity and recommend solutions to improve efficiencies.
  • Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and inspectors.
  • Participate in progress meetings and provide accurate updates on project status.
  • Collaborate closely with the project manager to address technical issues, RFI responses, and change management.
  • Maintain daily reports, logs, field documentation, and safety records.
  • Ensure accurate recording of manpower, equipment usage, deliveries, and site activities.
  • Support closeout activities including punch lists, inspections, and turnover documentation.
