Job summary

Ameresco, Inc. is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead field operations for multimillion-dollar energy-saving projects with a Federal Team based on Kodiak Island, AK.

You will supervise subcontractors, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with contract documents and safety standards. Qualifications include a ten-year construction background with five years in commercial or government projects, OSHA 30-hour certification, and strong coordination with the Project Manager and scheduling

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 10+ years in construction with at least 5 years in commercial or government construction as a site superintendent or similar role.
• Ability to review confidential US Security information.
• OSHA 30-hour certification is required.
• EM-385-1 certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite leadership for direct subcontractor workforce and field management activities.
• Support the Project Manager with planning, scheduling, and controlling critical path activities to ensure work complies with contract documents.
• Supervise timely and cost-effective installation of contracted work.
• Develop work sequence plans and project schedules with the Project Manager and scheduling team.
• Provide ongoing project status updates and documentation to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and jurisdictional requirements.

Ameresco currently has a new opportunity for a ConstructionSuperintendent to join our Federal Team in support of the design, construction, and successful implementation of multimillion-dollar large-scale energy savings projects. This position will be based on Kodiak Island, AK.

Responsibilities:

• Provide onsite leadership for direct subcontractor workforce, control and direction of all field and construction management activities.
• Support the Project Manager with planning and organizing project work, including management of the critical path and all critical path activities, toensureall work is executed in accordance with the contract documents. This includes the submittal schedule, material deliveries, schedule updates, work progress/productivity and associated changes.
• Supervise the timely and cost-effective installation of the contracted work.
• Develop a plan for sequence of work and project schedule with the Project Manager and scheduling team.
• Support the Project Manager in the development of logistics plans and schedules during pre-construction and early project activities.
• Provide ongoing project status updates with all parties throughout design and construction.
• Provide project reports, documentation, technical assistance, support, and collaboration.
• Develop comprehensive understanding of ownercontracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Ensure compliance with company safety, industry, trade, and federal/local jurisdictional standards, practices, codes.
• Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or an equivalent.
• Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in construction with at least five (5) years of experience in commercial or government construction industry as a site superintendent or a similar role.
• Ability to review confidential US Security information.

Additional Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in mechanical and electrical construction is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and manpower.
• Demonstrated ability to lead field operations.
• Knowledge and experience with performing Quality Control management.
• Strong verbal, written, computer, technical communication and presentation skills.
• Computer software proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Proven experience with OSHA safety standards, building systems, engineering, and project management regulations, practices, and codes.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and foster positive business relationships.
• OSHA 30-hour Certification is required.
• EM-385-1 Certification is preferred.
• Primavera P6 Experienceis a bonus.
