Tidal Construction Group LLC ("Tidal"), a fast-growing commercial construction company, is seeking a Superintendent to contribute to and support the planning and execution of commercial construction projects. This role spends most of the time on job sites managing and overseeing all facets of a construction project from start to finish. Tidal operates on the east coast from West Palm Beach south to Miami and on the west coast in Tampa, Florida.

The superintendent is responsible for the overall safety, schedule, quality, and management of on-site field activities for each project (ranging from $2M to $10M). They will assist with planning, coordination, and execution of work on time and within budget, while maintaining a safe workplace.

The Superintendent ensures that all service aspects are delivered at the highest level to satisfy the Owner/Client.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage onsite planning and coordination of subcontractor work activities according to contract and guidelines, coordinate subcontractors and vendors to ensure adherence to project plans and quality control, coordinate permit inspections, and maintain subcontractor relationships.
• Read, understand, and interpret plans and specifications; help develop and maintain schedules to deliver projects on time. Knowledge of construction sequencing and ability to create a 2-week look-ahead schedule.
• Ensure code and legal compliance; coordinate quality inspections.
• Manage shop drawing process, material expediting, daily cleanup, perform daily jobsite walks, coordinate specialty inspections, and manage start-up and commissioning of equipment.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment professionally.
• Submit daily and weekly status updates to senior management.
• Track significant information such as Toolbox Talks, Meeting Minutes, Document Transmittals, Drawing Logs, Submittal/Shop Drawing Logs, RFI Logs, Change Order Logs, etc.
• Maintain all on-site documentation including contract documents and daily logs.
• Assist in preparing Change Proposals to Owners, ensuring coverage for all direct costs, equipment, and time-related activities.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years of superintendent or project management experience in commercial construction.
• Completion (or ability to complete) of all Safety Trainings and Requirements, including OSHA 30.
• Experience leading and managing multiple construction projects.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (40-80 lbs.) by hand or with equipment, using proper equipment or seeking assistance as needed.
