Job summary

DeWitt & Associates, Inc. in Springfield, MO is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead healthcare construction projects on-site.

You will work with the Project Manager and General Superintendent to plan projects, manage schedules, coordinate trades, and conduct on-site progress meetings with stakeholders. The role requires strong communication, professionalism, and hands-on leadership, with a focus on safety, cost control, and adherence to plans and specifications.

Qualifications

• A minimum ten years of industry experience preferred, with five years in a superintendent role; healthcare construction experience a plus.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience.
• High degree of professionalism in all dealings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 including Outlook, Word and Excel, and experience with project management and scheduling applications and other construction technology.
• First Aid and CPR certifications.
• OSHA 10.

Responsibilities

• Plan projects in collaboration with the Project Manager and General Superintendent.
• Manage overall project schedule and short-term interval schedules; coordinate labor, materials, testing agencies, inspections, and subcontractors; conduct regular progress meetings on-site.
• Meet with client representatives to discuss project status.
• Communicate and enforce Safety Program on site.
• Ensure work complies with plans and specifications.
• Control costs through efficient use of resources and value engineering when possible.
• Monitor labor productivity and material costs; oversee QA/QC program.
• Assist estimators with bidding with productivity/unit cost data and subcontractor performance information.
• Maintain project documentation (timesheets, daily reports, progress photos, testing reports, inspections).

DeWitt & Associates, Inc., a Springfield-based and employee-owned commercial construction company with a rich history and a reputation for service with integrity, is searching for a Superintendent with a passion for building and service. This position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Project Manager and General Superintendent to plan projects
• Be responsible for the overall project schedule, and maintain short-term interval schedules for the use and review of all trades on the project. Schedule daily activity of labor force, material deliveries, testing agencies, site inspections, and subcontractors. Conduct regular progress meetings on site with labor force, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders
• Meet with client representatives regularly to discuss the status of the project
• Communicate and enforce Safety Program for all on the job site
• Ensure all work complies with plans and specifications
• Control costs through efficient use of resources and value engineering when possible
• Monitor and manage project labor productivity and material cost, and monitor and administer Quality Assurance/Quality Control (“QA/QC”) program, with emphasis on QA
• Assist estimators with bidding, including providing productivity/unit cost trends and subcontractor/vendor performance information
• Maintain project documentation including timesheets, daily reports, progress photos, testing reports, inspections, etc.
