Actalent is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee community solar projects across Illinois from Peoria, IL. The role manages on-site operations, safety, and coordination with sub-vendors to ensure timely construction of 1–2.5 MW solar facilities.

The position requires a technical degree or extensive construction management experience, blueprints literacy, OSHA certifications, and a track record in solar or electrical civil projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction management on commercial electrical or civil projects.
• Technical degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or extensive construction management experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Experience managing sub-vendors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PDF, Word, Excel).
• OSHA 10 certification.
• OSHA 30 certification (assistance available if expired).

Work Environment

The work environment is a solar construction site with a company trailer, located across central and Northwest Illinois. The site will have multiple electrical and civil subcontractors present. Work hours are typically Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, totaling 40 hours a week. Overtime must be approved by the supervisor and is not common. The dress code requires construction attire, including jeans, a t-shirt, and proper personal protective equipment. Current project locations include Browning, IL, and Flora, IL.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Peoria, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
