Job summary

River City Construction LLC is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee day-to-day on-site construction for large commercial projects, including those valued at $30M+. You will coordinate with internal RCC teams and external partners to deliver safe, on-time, and within-budget results.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of field management experience and related education; proficiency with construction software such as Bluebeam and Microsoft Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Trade School, Construction Management, Engineering, or similar field ideal
• Computer and technology skills; Bluebeam a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day onsite construction activities for large-scale commercial projects
• Maintain OSHA compliance and safety culture on site
• Coordinate with internal RCC teams and external partners including subcontractors, owners, architects, engineers, inspectors
• Review look ahead schedules vs baseline schedules and manage budget tracking
• Oversee project documentation, QA/QC, and on-site logistics

Superintendents are responsible for leading construction efforts and overseeing the day-to-day onsite construction activities for large-scale commercial projects, including projects valued at $30M+. This role works collaboratively with internal RCC teams and external partners including subcontractors, project owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and union trades to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Superintendents are expected to maintain a strong “big picture” understanding of their projects, proactively manage priorities, and independently resolve issues as they arise. This position plays a critical role in jobsite leadership, safety culture, quality control, and overall project execution.

Key Functions

Safety

• Keep jobsite OSHA compliant
• Prepare and maintain job specific emergency action plan
• Keep site stocked with PPE and all necessary safety equipment/signage
• Complete all necessary safety documentation forms

Construction Documents

• Estimate vs cost report
• Subcontractors/scope
• Look ahead schedule vs base line schedule
• Budget Management/quantity tracking/time entry
• Project documentation (SWPPP, Daily Reports, Concrete logs)
• Invoice, material, and equipment tracking
• Contract drawings and submittals

Jobsite Management

• Logistics/Construction sequence
• Time management/self-perform crew management & coordination
• Site/building layout and controls
• Material/equipment management coordination
• QA/QC

Relationships

• Team RCC - Estimating, PM, Safety, Yard
