Job summary

MCI Talent Group is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to own field operations, coordinate with the Project Manager to maintain schedules, manage crews, and ensure safety and quality on site in Topeka, KS. The role emphasizes driving project success within budget and timeline while coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.

You will develop schedules, monitor progress, and communicate key developments to leadership, ensuring owner expectations are met and relationships

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily field reports and two-week look-ahead schedules
• Develop understanding of project drawings, specs, scope, and site conditions
• Oversee internal and external construction crews
• Monitor schedule and communicate progress and delays to PM and ownership
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accelerate the schedule
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors for on-schedule, on-budget work
• Ensure workers have PPE and training for safe work
• Support owner expectations and client relationships with PM
• Manage safety and quality control across the project

My Client is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent. They are looking for a self-motivated, driven construction professional who takes ownership of the field operations and plays a key role in the successful planning and execution of our projects.

The Superintendent will work closely with the Project Manager to develop and maintain the project schedule, manage field operations, coordinate change orders, monitor budgets, and maintain quality control throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and document daily field reports, two-week look-ahead schedules, and safety reports in accordance with company standards.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the project drawings, specifications, scope of work, and site conditions.
• Oversee and coordinate internal and external construction crews throughout the duration of the project.
• Monitor the project schedule and communicate progress, potential delays, and key developments to Project Managers and ownership. Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure the project is completed within established schedule and budget requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accelerate the project schedule when possible.
• Serve as the primary field liaison with subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and other companies providing materials or services to ensure work is properly coordinated and completed on schedule and within budget.
• Ensure all workers receive appropriate training and have the required personal protective equipment (PPE) to perform their work safely.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure the owner's needs and expectations are met or exceeded throughout the project, while supporting the development and maintenance of strong client relationships.
