Legacy Construction & Development is seeking an Experienced Traveling Superintendent based in Jackson, MS, with extensive travel across the Southeast. The role leads day-to-day on-site operations, coordinating subcontractors, inspections, and deliveries to ensure safety, schedule, and budget adherence.

You will read and interpret construction drawings, manage project milestones, and maintain thorough project documentation while leading teams on fast-paced commercial projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction.
• Proven experience managing projects independently from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, scheduling, and sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency with construction technology and project management software.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass background screening and drug testing.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Traveling Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day management, coordination, and supervision of commercial construction projects from mobilization through closeout. This role serves as the on-site leader, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to Legacy's quality standards.

This position requires extensive travel and the ability to work away from home for extended periods as project needs dictate.

• Restaurant, retail, fuel station, healthcare, or franchise construction experience.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Experience working in occupied facilities and fast-track construction environments.
