Job summary

Blue Origin, based in Texas, is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead complex facility projects at the Central Texas Facility. You will drive end-to-end construction execution, coordinate with internal teams and external partners, and ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires PMP certification, at least 8 years in construction leadership, and proficiency with CMMS and MS Office. Travel and site presence are expected as needed.

This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.

As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will push the boundaries of what's possible in project management, as a visionary and hands‑on leader, supporting Blue Origin's Central Texas Facility. You will contribute substantively to the team's impact on all aspects of building our infrastructure and world class facilities.

Responsibilities

In support of Blue Origin's business units, the Construction Superintendent's responsibilities include:

• Initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing construction projects throughout their lifecycles, to include:
• Developing project plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Eliciting and documenting stakeholder requirements
• Identifying project dependencies, risks, and schedule impacts.
• Reporting project progress (status, risks, opportunities, roadblocks, and KPIs)
• Generating requests for proposals (RFPs) and statements of work (SOWs).
• Preparing, reviewing, and understanding project contract vehicles (AIA)
• Assisting in contract negotiations.
• Monitoring contractor progress via frequent site visits.
• Reviewing and approving invoices and payment applications.
• Evaluating and processing change requests and change orders.
• Assisting in resolution of payment or performance disputes
• Enforcing jobsite safety in tandem with EHS staff and contractor leadership
• Troubleshoot daily project issues
• Creating, reviewing, and improving business processes
• Supporting facilities master planning and company multi-year/strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• 8+ years of work experience
• Experience leading construction and quality inspection teams (especially in hybrid matrix environments)
• Proficiency with CMMS software and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Visio)
• Ability to walk around construction sites, climb multiple flights of stairs, work in adverse weather conditions, and stand for prolonged periods
• Experience writing for - and presenting to - executive audiences

Desired

Strong candidates for the Construction Superintendent position may have any of:

• Demonstrable achievements in any of: Facility construction management.
• Facility/plant management,
