Job summary

The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western seeks a Project Superintendent II for a federal project in Fairfield, CA. You will own on-site coordination of subcontractors, schedules, safety, and quality to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities include daily planning, supervision of crews, safety meetings, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This full-time role offers competitive pay and benefits with possible bonuses. Based in California.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required.
• 6+ years of project/field experience in construction.
• Basic computer skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates subcontracts, drawings, and specifications to ensure conformity
• Carries out inspections as needed
• Responsible for daily planning, creation and maintenance of project schedules, including subcontractor specialty schedules and short interval schedules
• Supervises and organizes workers; ensures workers are available and fully qualified to perform assigned duties
• Schedules crews according to available work packages for the project and all required equipment and materials necessary to complete tasks. Monitors timely delivery of necessary materials to assure continued productivity
• Responsible for controlling costs, adhering to budgets and managing equipment-related expenses. Ensures staff is aware of production rates for assigned items of work
• Conducts regular safety meetings; maintains a safe work environment with the goal of keeping accidents and injuries to a minimum and complying with company and regulatory safety procedures. Complies with EPA requirements for hazardous materials
• Assists project management team ensuring compliance with the legal and regulatory requirements of the city, state and federal government applicable to the project
• Participates in the development and implementation of appropriate portions of the jobsite quality, safety and production plans; ensures maintenance of all records in accordance with project standards

Qualifications

• Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 annually, depending on experience (DOE).
