Job Summary

In this role, you will direct the day-to-day field fabrication of fluids piping, tubing, and instrumentation integration across fluid systems and infrastructure projects. You will lead contractor crews, plan and sequence the integration of launch propellant fluid systems, and be accountable for delivering installations that are high-quality, safe, and efficient within a fast-moving test and operations setting.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the daily execution of fluids fabrication projects in the field
• Direct site logistics and operations for fabrication work, spanning scheduling, progress tracking, quality control, and resource allocation
• Coordinate material deliveries, storage, and overall site cleanliness for company construction assets supporting fabrication activity
• Uphold construction barricades and the site's stormwater pollution prevention plan across fabrication work areas
• Handle daily field coordination, conflict resolution, and schedule management for both fabrication contractors and internal teams
• Manage the procurement and delivery of fabrication construction projects end to end
• Build cost estimates, solicit bids, award contracts, and control budget, schedule, and scope across fabrication packages
• Monitor progress, deliver daily status updates, and align with end users and facilities teams on build scopes
• Oversee night shift fabrication contractors when needed
• Directly supervise tubers and fitters, establish daily priorities, and drive productivity and accountability
• Sequence and plan fabrication work so it aligns with the project schedule and operational constraints
• Anticipate and clear blockers early across fabrication scopes, including material access and engineering issues
• Act as the central point of contact for all fabrication activity across contractors, engineering, and internal teams
• Troubleshoot field issues as they happen on fabrication scopes, including fit-up interferences and design gaps
• Confirm that all tubing, fit-ups, and installations meet company quality standards
• Review drawings, isometric diagrams, and field changes for fabrication constructability
• Administer contractor badging and security access for fabrication personnel
• Adapt fabrication operations proactively to hold deadlines, escalating issues to engineering and project management as required
• Contribute hands-on skilled trade work on fabrication scopes when needed (roughly 10% of the time)

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 3+ years of professional experience in the construction or aerospace industries, including leading or coordinating a labor force
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in a construction trade skill

Preferred Skills And Experience

• Fabrication background on large-scale industrial or aerospace projects
• Experience estimating labor hours and managing budgets for welding scopes
• Proven field experience leading tubing contractors, fitters, and multi-disciplinary crews in fast-paced technical settings
• Ability to read and interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams, isometric drawings, fabrication drawings, and redlines
• Experience with fit-up, system tie-ins, modifications, and resolving constructability issues in the field
• Strong grasp of tubing quality requirements, visual inspection, and the proof and clean process
• OSHA 30 certification
• Experience coordinating work around active test and operations environments
• Current CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification
