Job summary

SERVPRO of Douglasville/Carrollton/Troup-Coweta Counties is seeking a Construction Specialist to restore properties and support customers through the construction process. You will assess damage, educate clients, and coordinate with project managers to ensure timely, quality execution.

Responsibilities include drafting sketches, reading blueprints, and maintaining safety standards while collaborating with engineers and inspectors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; construction certifications preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in construction or restoration.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate property damage to determine scope of construction work needed.
• Educate customer on the construction process.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely completion of construction tasks.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to provide project updates.
• Utilize tools and equipment safely and efficiently for construction tasks.
• Document project progress and report any issues to management.
• Assist in training new team members on construction best practices.
• Ensure that estimates meet client requirements.
• Create an accurate sketch of project.
• Recognize project constraints and/or needed upgrades.
• Deliver and communicate estimate to Construction Manager.
• Work with outside resources to complete accurate estimates (e.g., Structural Engineers, ITEL, Electrical Inspectors).
• Work with Construction Manager to price bid items.
