American Structurepoint, Inc. seeks a Construction Solutions Internship candidate for the Akron, OH program. You will gain hands-on field experience inspecting construction work, testing materials, and tracking project progress.

You will also assist with reviewing plans, preparing daily reports, and participating in project meetings. Apply classroom knowledge, build valuable skills, and see how roads, bridges, and utilities come to life in the communities we serve.

Qualifications

• Student majoring in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Land Surveying, Structural Engineering, or related field with Civil focus.
• Valid Driver's License for transportation to the office and between project sites.
• Strong work ethic, clear communication, and eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with contractors, designers, utility companies, and residents to keep projects running smoothly.
• Gain hands-on experience with material testing for asphalt, concrete, aggregates, and soils.
• Visit construction sites to observe daily activities, document progress, and ensure on-track execution.
• Use Microsoft Office, Appia, SiteManager, and BlueBeam to organize and report project information.
• Support real construction projects involving roads, bridges, and utilities.
• Perform other tasks as needed to support the team.
