Hourly Rate: $25 to $35 per hour (based on experience)

Peter Johnson Builders is seeking experienced Skilled Carpenters to join our team for high-end residential construction projects in the Charlottesville area. This role requires candidates to have at least 3 years of carpentry experience, preferably in residential construction or custom homes. The ideal candidates must be willing and able to commute to the Charlottesville area for work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret architectural plans, specifications, and manufacturer requirements.
• Assist in various tasks across multiple trades to support the production schedule and project budget.
• Utilize hand and power tools to complete tasks with precision, including rough framing of walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs.
• Perform finishing carpentry tasks ensuring high-quality workmanship.
• Take on additional tasks as needed based on project requirements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of carpentry experience, with a focus on new home construction.
• Ability to read and understand architectural plans and blueprints.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction, building codes, and industry best practices.
• Familiarity with other trades such as electrical, plumbing, masonry, finish carpentry, and painting.
