Cape Fox Mountain Point seeks a qualified Site Superintendent for the Air National Guard contract at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, Fort Worth, TX. You will manage day-to-day construction, coordinate schedules, and supervise crews/subcontractors to deliver the Fuel Cell Hangar modification for the 136th Airlift Wing.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety programs, interpreting construction drawings, and liaising with Government officials.

Qualifications

Cape Fox Mountain Point is seeking a qualified Site Superintendent to work on ourAir National Guard contract atNaval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, Fort Worth, TX. The Site Superintendent position is responsible for day-to-day project site management, including planning, coordinating, integrating, monitoring, and driving all project activities and milestones per plan; ensuring the maintenance of technical communications and business files; monitoring and reporting schedule variances from plan; appraising impact of variances; recommending and implementing corrective actions; and maintaining client communications. This position reports to the assigned Project Manager for Mountain Point, a construction company. This project is to Add/Alter (ADAL) the Fuel Cell Hangar, Building 1674, to support the 136th Airlift Wing's C-130J aircraft mission at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, Fort Worth, TX. The primary objective of this project is to execute a full facility modification to appropriately and safely accommodate the C-130J aircraft. This work includes, but is not limited to, extending the hangar structure, replacing the legacy foam fire suppression system with a modern water system, and reconfiguring the associated internal support, safety, and building support systems to align with the C-130J and current mission.

The Site Superintendent is responsible for the planning, scheduling, organizing, directing, and controlling construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget. The employee will supervise the day-to-day work of the crew and subcontractors and prioritize work for the project duration. An active or be able to successfully complete “Construction Quality Management” certification from the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is required. The Site Superintendent will also support the Quality Control (QC) Manager.

The Superintendent must be capable of interpreting a critical path structure and construction drawings.

The Site Superintendent will be the direct liaison with the Government Contracting Official on-site as well as directing the daily activities of subcontractors and vendors to ensure compliance with contract documents, safety rules, and quality/security requirements to maximize production and eliminate disruptions and downtime. The employee will ensure the construction schedule and budget are kept in accordance with the plan.

The Site Superintendent should be able to serve as Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) on Federal contracts, if needed. The Site Superintendent will support the management of the Contractor Health and Safety Program (for purposes of this requirement, the Health and Safety Program is equivalent to Safety and Occupational Health Program in EM 385-1-1,U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements Manual).

This position is contingent upon award

This position offers an annual salary in the range of$125,000 to $140,000, commensurate with candidate's relevant experience, education, and skills.*

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients.
• Oversee day-to-day field activities.
• Assist and fill in for Project Managers when they are not available.
• Assist subcontractors with Federal procedures and rules.
• Manage subcontractor base access issues.
• Supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff.
• Conduct employee orientations and safety meetings.
• Supervise day-to-day work of crew and prioritize work at hand.
• Ability to effectively lead a crew on schedule while monitoring quality of work at hand.
• Effectively follow plans/guidelines while conducting regular safety meetings
• Enforces all client-required safety policies and procedures.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures and safety requirements, including crew member discipline and documentation.
• Conduct pre final inspections/ establish punch list if required/ ensure all deficiencies are corrected.
• Coordinate and conduct final inspections with government contracting and civil engineer personnel.
• Submit as-builts on finished projects.
• Manage close out process and warranty responses with project manager.

Primary work will be supporting construction efforts on U.S. Government contracts at military installations. Site Superintendents typically work full-time in a variety of settings, including offices, facilities or construction sites. The work typically involves considerable travel and fieldwork, and the employee can be exposed to dangerous or stressful situations.
