Job summary

MEC Construction LLC is seeking a construction assistant to support the site crew with material handling, equipment spotting, bolt-up tasks, and shovel work. You will assist with coatings and underground pipe work and operate small equipment as directed. Travel is required and a safety-first mindset is essential.

The role requires 0-2 years of experience, basic tool use, and reliable teamwork. High school diploma preferred; OSHA 10 certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Clear communication with supervisors and co-workers.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, machines, equipment.
• Ability to learn and gain knowledge.
• Ability to follow work orders or receive instructions.
• Ability to adhere to Safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Works under immediate supervision in a team based environment
• Reports any problems or issues to supervisor for assistance
• Visually assists equipment operators by spotting during operation of equipment
• Perform job duties in a safe and efficient manner
• Must adhere to company policies and procedures
• Performs other functions/duties as required
• Working conditions are normal for a construction environment
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Roles requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, and safety shoes
