Job summary

QTS Data Centers in Irving, TX is seeking a cost analytics specialist to design and maintain a centralized cost intelligence database across projects, geographies, and scopes. You will develop predictive cost models, benchmarking tools, and validate forecasts against actual performance to improve accuracy.

The role requires strong Excel skills, experience with Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, and SQL, plus the ability to translate data into actionable insights for executives and project teams.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop predictive cost models and benchmarking tools to support early-stage budgeting, procurement planning, and risk analysis.
• Validate cost forecasts by comparing estimates against actual project performance, improving model accuracy over time.
• Standardize cost data classifications and taxonomies to ensure consistency across procurement, finance, and project management systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Development, Procurement, Finance, and Project Management teams to define cost drivers, align assumptions, and deliver actionable insights.
• Generate dashboards, reports, and presentations that translate complex data into clear, business-ready intelligence for technical and executive stakeholders.
• Automate recurring workflows and build intermediary tools that enable seamless data integration across platforms.
• Monitor industry trends in construction modeling and data center delivery to ensure tools remain aligned with best practices.

• Design, build, and maintain a centralized cost intelligence database capturing historical construction data across projects, geographies, and scopes.

• Develop predictive cost models and benchmarking tools to support early-stage budgeting, procurement planning, and risk analysis.

• Validate cost forecasts by comparing estimates against actual project performance, improving model accuracy over time.

• Standardize cost data classifications and taxonomies to ensure consistency across procurement, finance, and project management systems.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or Finance. Or Equivalent Professional Experience.

• Experience building databases, user interfaces, and automated workflows.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Programming aptitude with demonstrated experience in Power BI, Tableau, and SQL. QTS Confidential PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in data center construction projects.

• 2–3 years of construction management exposure.

• Experience using Snowflake data warehouse platforms to develop data models, dashboards, analytics solutions, and reporting tools that support operational and business decision-making.
