Job summary

SOCOTEC is seeking a Construction Services (Materials Testing) Project Manager to lead geotechnical earthwork, special inspection, and construction materials testing projects in the US. You will manage project execution, coordinate with clients and project teams, and oversee field and laboratory operations to ensure safety and compliance with project requirements.

Responsibilities include budgeting, client interaction, coordinating field activities, reviewing paperwork, and troubleshooting

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction materials testing and inspection experience.
• 2+ years of materials testing and inspection project management experience.
• Detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in proposal preparation, including materials quantity take-offs.

• Manage project budgets and meet and interact with clients and design professionals.
• Coordinate and oversee all field activities, including field technicians and inspectors.
• Visit project sites to evaluate work being performed.

This role is responsible for managing project execution, coordinating with clients and project teams, overseeing field and laboratory operations, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.

• Detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Experience in proposal preparation, including materials quantity take-offs

Desired Skills

• Local experience and familiarity with local codes and practices


• Understanding that this is not a general construction position
