You will oversee contractor conformance, contract administration, and project scheduling for highway, bridge, and utility projects. The role requires 10+ years of civil construction experience, travel flexibility, and experience with federal-aid contracts.

  • Prepare construction schedules for design projects.
  • Perform constructability reviews at points during project design.
  • Assist in managing design projects in preparation for construction.
  • May oversee and manage DEA construction staff.
  • Assist with proposals and pursuing new client markets.

The Construction Engineering Services Practice is seeking a Construction Services Manager in Bellevue, WA.

What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage contractor conformance to plans and specifications.
  • Conduct contract administration functions.
  • Proactively identify issues in documents and activities and works to resolve those issues.
  • May act as the lead for other construction inspectors.
  • Interpret contract plans and specifications for roadway and bridge construction to ensure contract compliance.
  • Act as the representative of the Client in communications with the Contractor, public, and other interested parties.
  • Prepare construction schedules for design projects.
  • Perform constructability reviews at specific points during project design.
  • Assist in managing design projects in preparation for construction.
  • May oversee and manage DEA construction staff.
  • Assist with proposals and pursuing new client markets.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
  • Heavy construction experience with Highways, Bridges, or Utilities
  • Experience with administration of Federal-aid contracts
  • 10+ years of construction experience working on civil construction projects.
  • Clean driving record
  • Available to work out of town when needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • WSDOT inspection experience and WSDOT inspector certifications
  • WSDOT contract administration and inspection experience is preferred
  • Experience with ProjectWise, AASHTOWare, MS Project, Primavera
  • Knowledge of WSDOT Standard Specifications for Highway Construction
  • Large project experience preferred ($50M+)
  • Alternative deliver experience preferred (Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, CM/GC, etc.)
