Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Memphis is seeking an Experienced Project Manager to lead Self-Perform Operations (SPO) projects, overseeing pursuit, staffing, proactive planning, budgeting and risk management on complex construction programs.

You will develop high-performance teams, supervise staff, foster diversity and inclusion, and manage client relationships, contracts, schedule, and safety to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program and 8+ years of related experience.
• Supervisory/management experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing and accounting principles.
• Read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specs and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and coordinate management of SPO projects, including pursuit, staffing, planning, budget and risk management.
• Develop high-performance teams through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring; ensure timely performance appraisals.
• Foster diversity and inclusion; build trusted client relationships as a strategic advisor.
• Administer contracts and subcontracts; manage schedule, budget, QC, safety, and risk evaluations.
• Collaborate with accounting for timely pay applications and supplier payments; review change orders.
