Job summary

Ace Electric in Valdosta, GA is seeking a Project Scheduler to support the development, maintenance, and coordination of schedules for mission critical and commercial construction projects. You will align sequencing, procurement activities, and field execution under senior scheduling guidance.

The role requires 1–3 years of scheduling experience in construction, strong attention to detail, and ability to travel to job sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of construction scheduling experience (electrical or mission critical preferred)
• Experience with project controls or project management
• Familiarity with subcontractor schedule integration and master schedules
• Understanding of procurement/workflow and material tracking
• Experience using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project (training acceptable)
• Exposure to BIM coordination or VDC processes
• OSHA 10 or equivalent safety training

Responsibilities

• Develop baseline schedules including activity definition, sequencing, and duration input
• Regularly update schedules based on field input and team feedback
• Maintain logic ties to ensure proper sequencing and schedule integrity
• Track procurement status, material releases, fabrication, and delivery dates
• Coordinate with subcontractor schedules and master project schedule
• Incorporate prefabrication, kitting, and installation workflows into schedules
• Participate in pull planning sessions and coordination meetings
• Generate standard schedule reports (look-aheads, progress, variance)
• Identify schedule risks and elevate to senior schedulers or PMs
• Maintain records of schedule changes and assumptions

General Summary

The Project Scheduler supports the development, maintenance, and coordination of project schedules for mission critical and commercial construction projects. This role assists in aligning project sequencing, procurement activities, and field execution under the guidance of senior scheduling staff. The Project Scheduler contributes to maintaining schedule accuracy and visibility while developing the skills needed to manage critical path elements and project constraints. The Project Scheduler will report to the E&F Division Manager.

Preferred Job Skills

• Basic knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project (training acceptable).
• Foundational understanding of construction processes and sequencing.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with project teams.
• Experience working on electrical or mission critical projects.
• Exposure to CPM (Critical Path Method) scheduling concepts.
• Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and submittals.
• Internship or prior role supporting scheduling, project controls, or project management.
• Basic understanding of procurement workflows and material tracking.
• Experience using Excel for data tracking and reporting.
• Familiarity with BIM coordination or VDC processes.
• OSHA 10 or equivalent safety training.
• Ability to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of baseline schedules including activity definition, sequencing, and duration input.
• Update schedules on a regular cadence (weekly/monthly) based on field input and project team feedback.
• Maintain logic ties between activities to ensure proper sequencing and schedule integrity.
• Track and update procurement status, including material releases, fabrication, and delivery dates.
• Support integration of subcontractor schedules into the master project schedule.
• Assist in incorporating prefabrication, kitting, and installation workflows into schedule activities.
• Participate in pull planning sessions and coordination meetings with project teams.
• Generate standard schedule reports including look-aheads, progress updates, and variance reports.
• Identify potential schedule impacts and elevate risks to senior schedulers or project managers.
• Maintain accurate records of schedule changes, assumptions, and updates.
