Job summary

HazTek Safety Management is seeking an experienced Safety Specialist in Wilmington, DE to support our commercial construction projects. You will drive OSHA compliance, conduct safety meetings, and lead accident investigations to foster a culture of safety.

Responsibilities include daily safety audits, PPE enforcement, tool and equipment inspections, and implementing HazTek's safety programs across sites. Strong communication and a track record in construction safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of construction safety experience required.
• OSHA 30 hour Construction certification required.
• First Aid/CPR certification required.
• Experience with Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection and Excavation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of commercial construction projects ensuring OSHA compliance.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Complete accident reports and conduct investigations.
• Ensure personnel wear PPE and follow safety procedures.
• Perform daily safety audits and inspections of sites, equipment and tools.
• Inspect power tools and heavy equipment for safety compliance.
