Job summary

Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Safety Specialist to support Connecticut‑based clients with contractor and facility programs and tasks.

The role focuses on developing safety plans, managing permit programs, and providing on‑site safety leadership across diverse projects while upholding core values of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, or related discipline preferred.
  • 2+ years' experience in environmental or construction health and safety preferred.
  • Experience with Hot Work Permitting and Hot Work Permit programs, HASP creation and management, Risk Assessment, Suspended Loads, Trenching / Shoring, and Training.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safety oversight of construction worksites.
  • Development of Job Safety Plans and Assessments.
  • Manage Safe Work Permit Programs and Tracking.
  • Maintain Management/Contractor Reporting and Record Keeping.
  • Review and Critique Contractor Safety Program.
  • Communicate with clients, customers, subcontractors, and project team members.
  • Capable of managing all field activities and subcontractor direction.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly compliance reports.
  • Conduct safety training.

Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Safety Specialist to assist our Connecticut‑based clients with contractor and facility programs and tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safety oversight of construction worksites
