Job summary

MAC Safety, based in Lansing, MI, is seeking an experienced safety professional to develop and execute health and safety plans across construction sites. The role requires evaluating conditions, enforcing policies, training staff, and investigating incidents on site.

This full-time position offers hourly pay with time-and-a-half after 40 hours, mileage reimbursements, daily per-diem, health benefits, a 401(k), PTO, and annual raises based on safety performance.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of safety experience preferred.
• Construction and automotive safety experience preferred.
• OSHA 30, 510 and 500 certs preferred or required.
• College degree or relative job experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Good communication skills are essential.
• Willing to travel for site work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute health and safety plans/training in the workplace.
• Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
• Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters.
• Inspect equipment and machinery for unsafe conditions.
• Investigate accidents or incidents and document findings.
• Recommend solutions and prevention measures for issues.
• Prepare safety permits/approvals.
• Provide professional safety expertise across sites.
