Job summary

O&G Industries, Inc. seeks an experienced Construction Safety Manager to lead safety across diverse CT projects, partnering with project teams and management to proactively identify risks and implement solutions.

The role focuses on strengthening safety culture, training personnel, and ensuring OSHA compliance while supporting successful project delivery. Travel within Connecticut is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent construction safety experience.
• Minimum of five years of occupational safety experience.
• Construction safety experience in building, infrastructure, or heavy civil construction.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
• Proficiency with safety management software, incident reporting systems, and mobile inspection platforms.
• ASP, CSP, CHST, or other safety certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote and strengthen safety culture across Connecticut projects.
• Conduct jobsite safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Identify hazards with project teams and implement corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations and root-cause analyses to drive improvement.
• Deliver safety training, coaching, and mentoring for field personnel and leadership.
• Monitor OSHA compliance and safety standards across sites.
• Review equipment and work practices to ensure safe operations.
• Support claims management and safety documentation processes.
• Analyze safety metrics and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with operations to integrate safety into project planning.
