Preferred Materials, Inc., a CRH Company, is seeking a Safety and Health Specialist to support asphalt production and construction operations in Florida. You will promote a safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with field leadership to protect employees and communities.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of construction or industrial safety experience preferred.
• Current OSHA and/or MSHA certifications preferred, or willingness to obtain.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

Aufgaben

• Conduct regular jobsite inspections, audits, and field observations.
• Partner with crews and supervisors to identify hazards and provide safety recommendations.
• Monitor OSHA, MSHA, and company policies compliance.
• Inspect equipment and work areas to promote safety and safe practices.
• Verify proper use of PPE and safety procedures.
• Evaluate workplaces for noise, atmospheric, lighting, and other hazards with monitoring equipment.
• Assist with accident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Support workers' compensation processes with Safety and HR leadership.
• Deliver safety training and toolbox talks for employees.
• Maintain accurate safety records and compliance documentation.
• Prepare findings reports and recommend corrective actions.
