Job summary
ColonialWebb is seeking a Full-Time Safety Coordinator to support our service and construction sites in Glen Burnie, MD. You will coach and enforce safety procedures, conduct site inspections, and help manage OSHA compliance across projects. The role requires at least three years in safety, a high school diploma, and relevant certifications; BCSP or First Aid/CPR/AED are a plus, with travel to multiple sites as needed.
Qualifications
Three or more years’ experience in the safety field, preferably in a construction setting.
OSHA 511 or 510 preferred; 500 or 501 a plus.
BCSP certification (CHST, OHST, ASP or CSP) also a plus.
First Aid/CPR/AED instructor certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
Coach and teach safety best practices and behaviors that prevent injury on site.
Assist the employees and management of the site in the enforcement of the Safety and Risk Program to ensure OSHA compliance.
Sustain safe operations by conducting site visits/inspections of facilities, work areas and equipment.
Identify corrective actions necessary to bring job sites into compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Assist in reporting and investigating workers' compensation and general liability claims on job sites.
