Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. is actively seeking three Construction Roadway Inspectors to join our Construction Management Team for projects across Southern California, including Riverside and Indio.

You will observe and document field activities, verify quality through measurements, and coordinate with owners, contractors, and project teams in the field. Applicants should have a high school diploma (Associate’s degree preferred), at least 3 years of construction observation experience, and proficiency

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate's degree in Engineering Science, Construction Management, or related technical field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of related construction observation experience required.
• Knowledge of construction techniques and ability to comprehend construction documents.
• Ability to work independently in the field while collaborating with project teams and assisting senior team members with complex projects.
• Strong communication and mathematics skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Valid driver's license required; extensive travel may be required.
• QSP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe and document bridge and roadway transportation construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents, plans, specifications, and approved submittals.
• Verify quality of completed work through field measurements, computations, and monitoring of contractor quality control efforts.
• Identify nonconforming work and support evaluation of corrective actions to ensure acceptability.
• Review contractor payment applications, change orders, and quantities of completed work to support progress payments.
• Coordinate with owners, contractors, and project teams while maintaining clear reports and accurate project records.
