Job summary

GCC is seeking a Construction Management Services contractor to provide a comprehensive program of Project Engineering, Planning, Scheduling, design reviews and value management assessments for our projects in Nashville, Tennessee. Responsibilities include QA monitoring, safety compliance, and change management documentation, with regular weekly/monthly reviews and coordination with contractors.

The candidate should have a degree or equivalent work experience, strong communication and software

Qualifications

• At least 3 years construction work experience; degree preferred.
• Knowledge of construction practices and QA, safety, time, cost and information management.
• Familiar with site operations of general and sub-contractors and construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide CM and project engineering, planning, scheduling, design reviews and value management assessments.
• Perform safety compliance reviews and testing/monitoring; record keeping and cost estimating.
• Monitor and report on IMS, change orders, and schedule adherence; coordinate communications.

Job description

To provide support for Construction Management and Related Services. The services include, but are not limited to, Construction Management (CM) services. The CM Services contractor shall have the capability of providing a comprehensive program of Project Engineering, Planning, Scheduling, Design reviews and Value Management Assessments, Safety Compliance Reviews, Monitoring and Testing Compliance, Record Keeping, Cost Estimating /Budget Control, and Change Management Documentation Management. Additionally, the CM Services contractor shall have the capability to perform Constructability Reviews, Quality Assurance Monitoring, monitoring a contractor's adherence to standards in order to meet the specifications and to avoid deficiencies in the work. Other requirements include the level of work performed daily, performing weekly and monthly reviews and reports; change order proposal reviews and schedule development adherence; recommendations pertaining to the integrated master schedules (IMS), written and oral communications and coordination efforts as required.

• May possess a degree from an accredited institution of higher learning and/or evidence of work experience or knowledge to compensate for absence of higher education. A minimum of three (3) years of construction work experience may be substituted
• Shall possess a working knowledge of construction practices and call upon this knowledge to assist in implementing the various plans set forth on the project including Quality Assurance; Safety, Time, Cost, Change and Information Management.
• Shall be familiar with the site operations of a General and Sub-contractor and the process of managing a building construction operation.
• Must have a working experience in monitoring the construction for Quality Assurance.
• Shall have experience in preparing, analyzing, and identifying incongruities and deficiencies in the Contractor's work in relationship with the construction documents.
• Shall understand the baseline schedule and assist in determining the value of the acceptable work in place. Work experience on completed projects shall be identified in the credentials of the individual to show competency to undertake a rigorous program in construction in all identified task order scope of work required solicitation.
