Job summary

Pasona N A, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Quality Control Manager to lead on-site QA/QC for major water treatment projects in the Phoenix area.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead construction quality control activities at assigned project sites.
  • Coordinate third-party inspections, including inspection scheduling and documentation.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure inspection readiness and resolve quality issues.
  • Review construction progress and field conditions against schedules and quality requirements.
  • Monitor work using P&IDs, drawings, specifications, and ITPs.
  • Verify installations and identify discrepancies or non-conformances.
  • Manage quality documentation, NCRs, corrective actions, and turnover packages.
  • Participate in meetings to communicate quality requirements.
  • Coordinate quality for delivery and installation of SKID units and equipment.
  • Support implementation of quality plans, ITPs, NCR management, and turnover documentation.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for site quality activities and supervise QC inspectors if needed.
  • Coordinate quality activities involving subcontractors, suppliers, labs, and third-party inspectors.
  • Prepare weekly reports on progress, quality issues, and corrective actions.
  • Promote continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and project execution.

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Salary: $110,000–$130,000 (DOE)
Work Style: On-site, 5 days/week

Position Summary

A leading water treatment solutions company is seeking an experienced Construction Quality Control Manager to support major industrial construction projects in the Phoenix, Arizona area.

This position will lead on-site construction quality control activities for water treatment systems, with a particular focus on piping installation and related field construction. The successful candidate will work closely with the Site Manager, subcontractors, third-party inspectors, suppliers, and project teams to ensure that construction activities meet project specifications, quality standards, schedule requirements, and safety expectations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction QA/QC professional interested in supporting large-scale, technically complex industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead construction quality control activities at assigned project sites.
  • Coordinate third-party inspections, including inspection scheduling, documentation preparation, and field support.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure inspection readiness and resolve quality-related issues.
  • Review construction progress and field conditions against project schedules and quality requirements.
  • Monitor construction work using P&IDs, piping drawings, specifications, and inspection/test plans (ITPs).
  • Verify installations and identify discrepancies or non-conformances.
  • Manage quality documentation, including inspection records, NCRs, corrective actions, testing reports, and turnover packages.
  • Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, inspectors, and project teams to communicate quality requirements.
  • Coordinate quality requirements for delivery and installation of SKID units and related equipment.
  • Support implementation of quality plans, inspection and test programs, NCR management, corrective actions, and project turnover documentation.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for site quality activities and potentially supervise QC inspectors.
  • Coordinate quality activities involving subcontractors, suppliers, testing laboratories, and third-party inspectors.
  • Prepare weekly reports regarding construction progress, quality issues, and corrective actions.
  • Promote continuous improvement and identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and project execution.
Qualifications
Required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction quality control, inspection, or quality management with responsibility for field quality oversight.
  • Experience managing QA/QC activities for construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction quality control and quality assurance practices.
  • Experience with inspections, testing activities, NCRs, corrective actions, and quality documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, P&IDs, ITPs, and piping drawings.
  • Strong communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid U.S. work authorization.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification.
Preferred
  • Experience with water treatment systems, industrial facilities, semiconductor projects, or large-scale piping installations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
  • Experience or knowledge of plastic piping systems.
  • Familiarity with applicable construction codes and standards, including ASME B31.3, NFPA 70, NFPA 54, and IBC Chapter 17.
  • USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors Certification – strongly preferred.
  • OSHA 510 certification.
  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
  • ASNT Level II certification in applicable NDT methods.
  • ICC Inspector certification or equivalent.
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), ISO 9001 Internal Auditor, or similar quality certification.
  • HAZWOPER, NFPA 70E, or related safety training.
Work Environment

This position is primarily based at an active construction site in the Phoenix area and requires regular field inspections, coordination with contractors and inspectors, and management of construction quality documentation.

Candidates should be comfortable working in an industrial construction environment and moving throughout active project sites. Occasional work at heights, in confined spaces, and around industrial equipment may be required.
