Job summary

Clark Construction is seeking a Construction Quality Control Manager in El Paso, TX to ensure project work complies with contract documents, owner requirements, and building codes. You will lead the quality program, coordinate with the owner's QA team, and oversee the QC Plan, testing procedures, and submittal review.

This hands-on role requires a four-year degree in engineering or construction-related field, 5+ years in construction with 2+ years as QC Manager, and the ability to lead

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree from four-year accredited college or university program in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or Building Science.
  • 5+ years construction experience AND at least two years’ experience as a QC Manager is ideal.
  • Demonstrate experience leading supervision or quality control teams on commercial projects.
  • Must be able to manage other inspectors, as well as coordinate independent material testing and lab work.
  • Ability to process a large volume of submittals.
  • Prior experience developing Quality Control Plans.

You can expect to be on your feet frequently, navigating active job sites with uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists. The work is physically demanding and requires a full range of motion, including bending, kneeling, and reaching. You’ll need to be comfortable frequently lifting and carrying materials up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. This role requires the ability to communicate effectively, as well as visual acuity for reading plans and inspecting work. The role does include desk time in the office that may require prolonged periods of sitting for tasks like computer work, document review, and meetings**.******Your Work Environment:**** You’ll spend a significant amount of your time on active construction sites, which means being adaptable to all kinds of weather and moderate to loud noise levels, and comfortable in elevated or confined work areas with moving mechanical equipment and with the fast-paced nature of a project in progress.
